Throughout Public Enemy, multiple characters converse simultaneously. The audience is engaged in a very intimate way as they listen to overlapping, competing conversations, and make the choice of what to listen to. This unique experience is one of the reasons we wanted to program the show; it's what makes every viewing of Public Enemy unique.
As a result of the unique challenge of capturing the layered dialogue in this production, hearing assist devices will not be available for performances of Public Enemy.
