ABOUT THE POSITION
The Stage Management apprenticeships are available on 6 productions in Canadian Stage’s 25.26 season. Ranging from Dream in High Park to two-handers in our Berkeley St. Theatre to large scale productions at the Bluma Appel Theatre, there is an apprenticeship for you no matter where you are in your apprenticeship credits. The apprenticeships range from 6 weeks to 12 weeks beginning June 10, 2025 through March 9, 2026.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
- Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manger on the production
- Other members of the Production Department including Site and Production Manager, Technical Director, and ATDs
- The creative and production teams of productions and presentations
QUALIFICATIONS
- A love of theatre and/or the performing arts
- A degree, diploma, or certificate in technical theatre or scenography and at least one Equity apprenticeship credit.
- Available to work evenings and weekends;
- Experience working in a team-based collaborative environment with a positive attitude
- Due to the style of our outdoor theatre, and the age and layout of our venues, a successful applicant must be able to regularly climb stairs. They should also be able to do so while holding, lifting, and carrying items.
